We’re seeking a motivated Civil Engineer who excels at communication, thrives in multidisciplinary environments, and brings a pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset to every project.
You will:
- Lead and support: design, access to property, construction-phase activities including planning, project management and provide input into design and methodology for various infrastructure and land development projects
- Apply strong risk management, communication, and problem‑solving skills to keep projects moving forward constructively
- Build trusted relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including clients, Council teams, project managers, design consultants and contractors
- Contribute to process improvements, project planning, and a collaborative team culture

This role will see you utilising and expanding your client relationship networks to establish Inovo’s surveying capabilities in the Auckland region.
You will have:
- A minimum of 10 years’ end-to-end land development and surveying experience in the Auckland region
- Proven track record of developing new business opportunities and cultivating relationships with potential clients
- A strong understanding of the Auckland market and the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities
- An established network of connections in local government and the private sector
- Solid commercial, project management and business development experience
- University degree in Surveying (BSurv or similar)
- Proven management and leadership skills and a collegial, team-player attitude
- An understanding of the legislative frameworks we operate in, including the Resource Management Act and associated regulations.
- Creative thinking to develop innovative solutions and provide high quality advice for our clients.

You will bring:
- 10–15+ years’ experience in complex project environments
- Demonstrated leadership in planning and/or controls on large-scale projects

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager, based at our central Christchurch office.
About you:
- You bring significant senior‑level experience (typically 10+ years) delivering complex, large‑scale projects in the commercial construction and consulting environment, with a proven track record across varied sectors, clients, and delivery models.
- You thrive in a consulting environment, acting as a trusted advisor to clients, representing the business professionally, and building strong, long‑term relationships that support repeat work and business growth.
- You are confident owning end‑to‑end project delivery, from early feasibility and scope definition through to completion and close‑out, establishing fit‑for‑purpose governance, reporting, and delivery strategies aligned to the projects risk and complexity.
- You are an experienced leader of multi‑disciplinary teams, able to manage and coordinate design consultants, contractors, and delivery partners, and guide projects through procurement and delivery with clarity, confidence, and sound professional judgement.
- You bring strong commercial and contractual capability, with proven experience leading procurement processes, preparing and evaluating tenders, and overseeing contract preparation and administration, including contract instructions, variations, progress claims, and performance monitoring.
- You have Extensive contract Knowledge with experience operating as Engineers Representative/Contract Administration using the NZS 3910 (2013/2025) suite of contracts. Experience as an Engineer to the Contract/Independent Certifier is desirable but not essential for this role.
- You are accountable for project financial performance, with the ability to manage budgets through cost planning, forecasting, change control, with clear, accurate financial reporting.
- You communicate well and excel in relationship management, able to build trust across all levels of any organisation, chair complex multi‑stakeholder meetings, challenge thinking constructively, and resolve issues in a pragmatic and professional manner.
- You bring relevant qualifications and/or formal professional training aligned to senior project management practice. Project Management Institute - PMP certification is desirable but not essential.
- You hold New Zealand permanent residency or citizenship, which is essential for this role.

- 3+ years of Engineering/Land Development experience
- Have an understanding of design packages such as 12D or Civil 3D
- Understanding of AutoCAD, EPA net, Stormwater modelling, 2d flood modelling packages and Microsoft office.
- Have an understanding of the RMA and planning processes
- Knowledge of civil engineering and construction specifications, standards and codes
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- It is essential you hold either NZ permanent resident or NZ citizenship status.
