We sponsored the Selwyn Awards 2023 – here’s why
When we were approached to sponsor the 2023 Selwyn Awards, we were quick to say ‘yes’.
While Inovo is a national company, with projects spanning the North and South Island, our Head Office is in Christchurch, and the Selwyn district represents an area where a large number of our team lives, works and plays. The Selwyn Awards recognise the outstanding work and achievements of businesses, not-for-profit organisations and individuals all striving to make the Selwyn area economically thriving, culturally vibrant, diverse and inclusive, and environmentally sustainable and inspiring.
Selwyn is also special to us as Inovo has been involved in several projects in the district, notably as Project Manager and Programmer for Toka Hapai Selwyn Health Hub, completed in 2022, which is central to the Selwyn community. Inovo was also Design Manager and Project Manager for Te Ara Ātea, Selwyn’s award-winning new library and community space.
As well as being a Selwyn Awards ticket subsidy sponsor, Inovo team members were pleased to attend the Awards evening on 5 August. General Manager Ryan Croy spoke and presenting the Diversity and Inclusion Award to Waitaha School. Based in Rolleston, Waitaha School works innovatively to support diverse learners beyond the Specialist Education setting, and believes that young people can, and do, contribute to their local community through positive participation and engagement. It was a real pleasure to see this small school recognised for their impact on the students and the community.
The next Selwyn Awards will be held in 2025.
