CAD Manager/Draughtsperson
Christchurch
Lead, optimise and innovate CAD systems. Mentor a skilled team to deliver high-quality, efficient and technology-driven design solutions.
With sustained growth of our team, and a solid forward work programme, we are seeking an experienced CAD draftsperson to join our Land Development team in the role of CAD Manager, based in our Christchurch office.
The Opportunity:
- Join a team of around 50 land surveyors, civil engineers, resource management planners and project managers in our modern office in central Christchurch. The role also includes support for the team located in our Auckland office.
- Manage software. Customise, standardise, manage systems and processes where appropriate to ensure efficient and effective delivery of consistent, accurate, high-quality outputs.
- Enhance systems and processes by developing and implementing standards and best practices that leverage the latest technologies.
- You will have worked in a senior CAD role previously and will be required to oversee, mentor, train and assist a small team of CAD operators.
- Manage CAD projects and CAD staff including time management, provide recommendations on software and hardware procurement, and streamline workflows to enhance the day-to-day output of the CAD function.
- Work in projects - assist with draughting and take ownership of providing CAD outputs.
About you:
- Expert at using AutoCAD & Civil 3d
- Experience with GIS software
- Understanding of 12d Model and 12d Synergy Software
- Passionate about continuous improvement and driving efficiency
- Curiosity for new technologies
- An excellent written and oral communicator
- Able to work independently and organise work programmes
- Understand civil engineering and land surveying CAD outputs
- Ideally have experience working with civil engineers, land surveyors and resource management planners.
