What does working at Inovo look like
About you:
- Solid experience (5+ years) in the commercial construction industry, with proven success delivering medium-to-large scale projects. At least 2 years’ experience working in New Zealand is preferred.
- Broad project management and/or design management experience across multiple sectors including civil and infrastructure projects is advantageous.
- Good knowledge of construction methodology and building materials.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate project teams, manage programmes, and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Experience of report writing risk management and procurement within the project space.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills, with confidence in working across multiple stakeholders and contributing effective facilitation of project meetings.
- Skilled at collaborating with diverse teams to solve problems, provide constructive input, and support the resolution of project issues.
- PMP (Desired), contract knowledge with experience with engineers' rep or contract administration NZS 3910 (2013/2025)
- NZ permanent residency or citizenship is essential.

We need someone with 10+ years in the commercial construction industry, with proven delivery of large-scale projects across diverse portfolios. You will need to have an minimum of 3 recent years' experience working in New Zealand.
Ideally, you will have specialist healthcare expertise of at least 3+ years leading project and design management for large healthcare projects.

Our Surveying Intern will support our survey team with field and office tasks, including setting up and operating total stations, GNSS/GPS units, drones and scanners; collecting boundary and topographic data; processing field observations; and assisting in drafting survey plans. You’ll gain insight into cadastral and construction set‑outs, resource consent processes and how survey information feeds into engineering and planning decisions.
We’re looking for someone who
• Is currently studying towards the Bachelor of Surveying (BSurv) at the University of Otago or another accredited surveying qualification (2nd or final year of study).
• Has a genuine interest in land development, enjoys working outdoors and is comfortable using technology and software.
• Demonstrates attention to detail, good communication skills and a proactive, can do attitude.
• Values teamwork, health and safety and continuous learning.

- Utilise the latest surveying technology and computer software
- Curate subdivision design and civil engineering design
- Ensure accurate Cadastral Survey Datasets and other survey deliverables are completed on time
- Supervise and mentor the next generation of surveying professionals
- Join a team of around 50 surveyors, civil engineers, planners and project managers in our modern office in central Christchurch
About you:
- An experienced Licensed Cadastral Surveyor or Senior Surveyor
- Competent with Landonline and 12D software
- An excellent written and oral communicator
- Able to work independently and organise work programmes
- Proficient with field work techniques and quality assurance processes for GPS and Total Station
- Have an understanding of the RMA, planning processes and other relevant legislation
- You will hold a NZ Citizen or Permanent resident status
