What does working at Inovo look like?
CURRENT JOB VACANCIES
We're seeking either a surveying graduate or surveyor with at least three years relevant industry experience.
You should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics or a related field
- Experience completing topographical surveys and construction set-out works using Total Station and GNSS equipment
- Familiarity with 12D, CAD Software and survey data processing workflows
- Experience in Cadastral Surveying, including working in Landonline
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- An aptitude for technology and a keen eye for detail
- Full NZ drivers licence
NZ/AUS citizenship, or permanent residency is essential (Post-study work visas are not considered suitable)

About you:
- Hold a relevant tertiary qualification, such as a Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering Technology, National Diploma in Engineering, or equivalent;
- Ideally 3+ years’ experience in civil engineering and/or land development;
- Practical experience using civil design software such as 12d Model and/or Civil 3D;
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, EPANET, stormwater modelling, 2D flood modelling software and Microsoft Office;
- An understanding of the Resource Management Act (RMA), consenting and planning processes relevant to land development projects;
- Good working knowledge of civil engineering design and construction specifications, standards and relevant codes;
- Strong technical, problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary project teams;
- \New Zealand permanent residency or citizenship is essential for this position.

This hands-on role brings together clinical, operational and project teams to ensure facilities, people, systems, equipment and processes are ready for a safe and successful transition into operation.

We're looking for an experienced planner who enjoys taking ownership of projects, building strong relationships with clients and councils, and developing practical planning solutions that help projects progress.
You'll have at least 5+ years’ (Senior Planner) experience in a planning consultancy, local authority, or similar environment.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Preparing resource consent applications for a range of activities, including land use, subdivision, and regional consents.
- Supporting projects progressing under the Fast-track Approvals Act and other alternative consenting pathways.
- Providing planning advice, undertaking statutory assessments, and developing consent and approvals strategies.
- Contributing to district plan reviews, plan changes, submissions, spatial planning initiatives, and other strategic planning projects as opportunities arise.
- Assisting clients to navigate legislative and policy changes arising from resource management reform.
- Engaging with councils, clients, consultants and other stakeholders.
- Working with mana whenua and iwi authorities on engagement and cultural matters.
- Preparing high-quality planning reports, assessments and technical advice
