Project Management
Toka Hāpai Selwyn Health Hub was built by the Council to provide increased capacity for health services as the district grows, and was a part of the Town Centre Master Plan, which Inovo undertook the design management and project management for.
The Council brought Inovo on board to drive the project from the concept stage through to completion. Inovo was responsible for the:
- procurement process
- governance and reporting
- construction performance monitoring
- programme
- risk management
- stakeholder liaison
- cost management
- commissioning, handover and defect liability phases.
Inovo was also engaged by the Council to manage all of their tenant stakeholder engagement to ensure that Te Whatu Ora, Pacific Radiology Group and other tenants design requirements were incorporated within the base build design. This ensured that the base build allowed the tenants to undertake their desired fit outs with minimal adaption of the building. In this role Inovo fostered key relationships with Te Whatu Ora personnel and ensured information was been available for Te Whatu Ora decision gateways. Regular monthly update reports were provided to each tenant to ensure that they were kept informed of the progress on site and had the opportunity to review and ask questions as construction progressed.
Te Whatu Ora is a key partner and key services provider in the building including the Oromairaki Maternity Unit, the Community Dental Service, Child Adolescent and Family Mental Health Service (South), Public Health Nursing, Older Person Health and Rehabilitation, along with visiting services: Vision and Hearing Service and Adult Community Therapy. The hub also houses radiology and physiotherapy services.
